Letter re a court case pertaining to the whipping of an African American slave. Attorney's letter reminding Col. McWillie that "Mrs. [C.R.] Blair desires...you to issue subpoenas for her witnesses in the case v L. Young for whipping her negro. The witnesses (she says) are Martin & his wife."
